Mark is a church elder and serves as Senior Associate Minister, responsible for pastoral care, counseling and most administrative matters.

He and his wife Sharon have been married since 1979 and have two children, Nathan and Mary Ann.

Michael loves to sing and play his trumpet, but the desire of his heart is leading corporate worship. His reverence for the ministry of music can be summed up in this quote, “Giving glory to our Lord through the medium of music, and calling others to do the same is a real joy, and a privilege not to be taken lightly.”

After graduating from the Master’s College in 1991 with a degree in music, he served in several different churches before God brought him here to Founders.

Michael and his wife Cathy met while they were both traveling with the Contemporary Christian music group “Eternity.” They were married in April of 1986 and have three children, Mike, Chris, and Rebekah. Aside from musical interests, Michael & Cathy like to ride bikes, play tennis, golf, snow ski, and spend time with friends and their family.

Larry has been a member of Founders Baptist since October of 1991 and joined the Ministry Staff in June of 2009.

Larry serves as the Director of Media Ministries which includes Oversight of Radio, Founders Website, Sermon Audio, The Media Center & Sermon CD production. He also oversee the Senior Adult Ministry. He was ordained to the gospel ministry in January 1985.

He and his wife Candy have been married since October of 1974 and have three children, Chris, Angie, and Lauren. They also have three grandchildren, Carsen, Avery and Roman.

Butch Thomas  joined Founders in May of 2000. He and his wife Karie have been married since February 1998 and have two children, Abby and Seth. Butch graduated from Texas A & M University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Degree. He works as a Structural Engineer and Project Manager.

Butch serves as an Elder at Founders and oversees Church Discipleship and Outreach. Butch teaches the Member Orientation Bible Study Class and is the Chairman of the Building Council, Pastoral Care Council and member of the Strategic Planning Council. He also coordinates the Second Sunday Fellowship, Greeter Ministry and Founders Men's Ministry.

David Strassner and his wife Cathy have been married since December 1978 and have seven children: Amanda, Alan, Asher, Ann, Aaron, Andrew and Adam. David graduated from the University of North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Geology. After working as an Exploration Geophysicist with a Major Oil company for 5 years, David founded an Oil and Gas Independent Operating and producing company with operations in the Offshore Gulf of Mexico and Onshore Texas. He is actively involved in numerous small businesses.

David is the Elder with responsibility for Missions and Ministry. He and his wife teach and lead an adult bible study class. Also David is the head of the Strategic Planning Council and Member of the Building Council.
